Be on the menu. Right when they choose.

Diners open staevi menus from a code on the table, before they order. Brands work with staevi to be on those menus: a featured line under the dishes, or the prize on a free scratch card. One agreement, every restaurant that says yes, one report.

At the tableThe menu is open and the order isn’t placed yet.
Opt-inEvery restaurant chooses to carry each campaign, in its own app.
One reportEvery menu that carried you, in one link: counts, not people.

Two ways onto the menu.

Both sit inside the menu the restaurant already uses. Never over the food, never a pop-up, always marked as yours.

Featured on the menu

Your line, between the dishes.

A tile in your colours, with your photo and one line, placed next to the dishes it goes with: your red beside the steaks. Diners who tap it read more and are told to ask their server. At most three brands on a menu.

The prize on Today’s card

Diners scratch to win yours.

Every diner gets one free scratch card a day on the menu. Three of the same dish wins your product, for today or for their next visit, so they come back for it. staevi runs the competition, rules and records included, and one person can win once a week.

Not only drinks.

Anything a diner can order, try or take home. If it belongs at the table, it belongs on the menu.

How it works.

  1. You agree a campaign with staevi.Your line or your prize, the dates and the towns. One agreement, with staevi, not with every restaurant.
  2. Restaurants say yes. Each restaurant on staevi sees how you’ll look on its menu and decides, and staevi takes R50 off its month for every brand it carries, so it has a reason to. A place with a deal with another supplier simply says no.
  3. Diners see you at the table. On every menu that said yes, from the first day. Your report fills in as diners open the menu.

One link, every menu.

Your report is a page you open any time, from any phone. It shows which menus carry you, how many phones saw you and opened you, and for a card, how many played, won and came back to collect.

  • A phone counts once a day on each menu
  • Prizes collected are confirmed by the server, in person
  • No names, numbers or emails: staevi keeps none for diners

Done properly.

The rules that apply to promotions in South Africa are part of how it works.

Alcohol, for adultsEvery alcohol placement carries an 18+ sign and says it is not for persons under 18. For brands that signed the industry’s code, diners also give their date of birth first, as the code asks of a platform like this.
Competitions by the bookFree to enter, rules published before it starts, no prizes for staff, one prize per person a week (checked by email), a draw sealed in advance that anyone can check, and records kept.
Restaurants stay in chargeNothing goes on a menu without the restaurant’s yes, and it can take you off at any time. You’re a guest on their menu.
